At the 2020 Auto Expo, Hero Electric unveiled its first electric motorcycle called the AE-47. The bike is similar to the Revolt RV400 but has a neo-retro design. In addition to the USB charger, cruise control, two ride modes, walk and reverse assistance, geo-fencing, GPS, SIM, and Bluetooth connectivity with app support, this bike also comes with two ride modes.
A 4kW electric hub motor powers the Hero Electric AE-47. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in nine seconds and reach 85 mph at top speed. The motorcycle has a removable 3.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It takes four hours to charge the battery fully. The claimed range is 165km in Eco mode and 85km in Power mode.
It is expected to be launched later this year for Rs 1 lakh, similar to its competitor, the Revolt RV 400.
The AE-47 E-Bike can travel up to 160 kilometers per charge.
